Thank you for visiting my website

My art portfolio continues to be influenced by a variety of amazing travel opportunities. Sailing in the Salish Sea and throughout the Gulf and San Juan islands never gets old. Differing colours and textures of the ocean, mountains, beaches, and sunsets continue to inspire me.

I continue to be inspired by the works of Gerhard Richter and Willem de Kooning and appreciate the more abstract representations of their work. I have been fortunate to attend a class at the Gibsons School of Art and studied with Blu Smith, an artist from Victoria . This class took me down a new “journey” of working with charcoal, using lots of black and challenging myself to keep more unpainted areas on a canvas.
Local artist Jeanne Krabbendam continues to inspire me to take on new and different challenges with paint and texture.

Recently, I have enjoyed playing around with digital photography, embedding images into abstract pieces.
